I have provided therapy to people from a range of different backgrounds, initially as an Assistant Clinical Psychologist, and later from 2009 in the role of Cognitive Behavioural Psychotherapist.
Alongside my clinical role I provide supervision to psychotherapists and counsellors.
I am a Humanistic Counsellor, & incorporate Person Centred, Gestalt & Transactional Analysis (TA) models of therapy.
Transactional analysis is a psychoanalytic theory and method of therapy wherein social transactions are analysed to determine the ego state of the communicator (whether parent-like, childlike, or adult-like) as a basis for understanding behaviour.
I offer a non-judgemental approach, & facilitate movement in the mind and spirit for people who feel stuck in life.
Garry Russell, founder of relaxfamily counselling services
In my work with individuals and families, I work hard to develop a strong relationship so that an essential foundation of trust can be built toward a successful outcome.
I offer counselling for individuals, couples and adult family members. I specialise in couple relationships and the impact of stressed relationships on individuals through to families. I provide a space for moving forward with the way you’d like your relationships to be. I create a non-judgemental environment to talk. Through coming for counselling we would explore together your hopes, bringing out your own resources and skills.
I am an accredited counsellor and a psychotherapist with the NHS and in private practice. My main languages are English and French.
I am also an accredited National Counselling Society (NCS) Supervisor. I trained in Northampton in Integrative Counselling (MSc), in London at London Southbank University in Addiction Counselling and Psychology (MSc) and in Southampton in Low Intensity Cognitive Behavioural Therapy (PGCert).
I have been in clinical practice during the past 14 years.
My main clinical interest are depression, anxiety, trauma, loss, relationships, addiction and spiritual identity.
